Skrillex (real name Sonny John Moore) is an American DJ, producer, and composer, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern electronic music — particularly dubstep and EDM.
Born in Los Angeles, he first began his career as the lead singer of the rock band From First to Last before launching his solo production journey. In 2010, he revolutionized the scene with tracks like “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” “Bangarang,” and “First of the Year (Equinox),” which defined the aggressive and futuristic sound of American dubstep.
Skrillex is known for his high-energy sets, limitless creativity, and his ability to blend genres — from bass music to hip-hop, pop, and techno. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Justin Bieber, Fred again.., Diplo, Missy Elliott, Ed Sheeran, and Boys Noize.
