Majida El Roumi

Majida El Roumi Baradhy (Arabic: ماجدة الرومي برادعي), born on December 13, 1956, in Kfarshima, Lebanon, is a world-renowned Lebanese soprano, songwriter, and humanitarian. She is considered one of the most respected and influential figures in the history of Arabic music. Her powerful voice, poetic lyrics, and deep cultural message have made her a symbol of elegance, patriotism, and artistic excellence throughout the Arab world.

Majida is the daughter of the famous Lebanese musician Halim El Roumi, who first discovered and nurtured her extraordinary vocal talent. She grew up in a family of artists and was influenced from an early age by legends such as Fairouz, Umm Kulthum, and Abdel Wahab. Her first major public appearance came in 1974, when she participated in the “Studio El Fan” talent show and won first place, instantly capturing the attention of critics and audiences across Lebanon.
