Drake

Aubrey Drake Graham, known professionally as Drake, was born on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur, widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful artists of his generation. Known for blending rap, R&B, and pop, Drake redefined modern hip-hop with his emotional honesty, melodic sensibility, and global appeal.

Drake was born to Dennis Graham, a drummer who performed with legendary musician Jerry Lee Lewis, and Sandi Graham, a Jewish Canadian educator. Growing up in Toronto, Drake faced financial struggles after his parents’ divorce, but his passion for music and performance emerged early.

Before his music career, Drake gained fame as an actor on the popular Canadian TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001–2009), where he played Jimmy Brooks, a basketball player who becomes paralyzed after a school shooting. However, his real dream was music.
