Damso

Damso (real name William Kalubi Mwamba), born on May 10, 1992, in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, is a Belgian-Congolese rapper, songwriter, and producer, acclaimed for his poetic writing, emotional depth, and artistic originality.

He began his career in Brussels before joining Booba’s 92i label, releasing his debut album Batterie Faible in 2016. His follow-up albums — Ipséité (2017), Lithopédion (2018), and QALF (2020) — achieved multi-platinum success and positioned him among the most influential French-speaking rappers of his generation.

Known for his introspective lyrics, dark yet elegant production, and philosophical tone, Damso has redefined francophone rap as an art form that blends vulnerability, poetry, and social reflection.
