Amalia Barbero, born in Córdoba in 1987 and performing under the stage name Lya, is a Spanish singer-songwriter whose elegant fusion of flamenco, pop and romantic ballad has earned her both critical acclaim and growing artistic recognition.
Raised in a family with deep musical roots, she began performing locally at a young age and later contributed as a backing singer for other artists before being spotted by Alejandro Sanz, who invited her to join his label, Lola Records. Her debut solo album Un Pellizco de Tu Voz signaled her distinctive voice and style.
